ABOUT  US

O'odham Consulting, L.L.C. specializes in providing Indigenous expert consulting services for intergovernmental affairs, education, the environment and special projects.

 

Our mission is to enhance our clients' operations and impact by delivering tailored solutions that address a diverse range of challenges. With experience working in the federal governments, we have a deep understanding of intergovernmental affairs, policy and the environment. We are committed to driving positive change and sustainable outcomes for our clients with a priority of uplifting Indigenous lived-experience.

OUR NAME

The word "O'odham" in the O'odham or the Uto-Aztecan language

means 'people' in English.

 

Our consulting firm understands government, policy and honors lived-experiences of Indigenous Peoples by acknowledging the language of the land. We chose the word O'odham as a part of our business name to ensure that people remain at the forefront of our work.

Naomi Miguel, MPAP is a citizen of the Tohono O’odham Nation. Ms. Miguel is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of O’odham Consulting, L.L.C. She is the former Executive Director for the White House Initiative for Native Americans and Tribal Colleges and Universities.

 

Ms. Miguel is a former Congressional staffer with experience on the House Committee on Natural Resources Subcommittee for Indigenous Peoples of the United States, congressional campaigns and tribal non-profit experience.  ​​She currently serves as a board member for the Tribal Law and Policy Institute.

 

She received her Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Political Science with minors in Pre-Law and Art from Mount St. Mary’s University, an all-women’s college. Ms. Miguel received her Master's in Public Administration and Policy degree from American University.  In 2024, Ms. Miguel was awarded an inaugural honorary Cobell Fellowship from the Cobell Scholarship Program for her advocacy in education. She enjoys hiking, art, music and spending time with her family and friends.
